WHY YOU AREN’T KEEPING UP WITH THE SKINCARE ROUTINE.

Hey babes! Welcome back.

This topic is one, most people would definitely relate to. We’ve all been caught up in that moment when we stare at our faces in the mirror looking like total trash and we wonder what the hell the skin routine is then for. If this has been your problem then this blog is perfect for you. I’ll be listing a few reasons why you aren’t keeping up with your skin routine and how to start taking your skin hygiene more seriously.

1. NOT ENOUGH TIME IN THE MORNING?

It’s quite understandable that while some of us work at the comfort of our homes, some of us have nine-to-fives, in which punctuality is a necessity. But this could be detrimental to our very own morning skincare routines. Waking up, trying to get more sleep, trying to prepare the children for school, trying to make breakfast, and still having to go to work. All that could be quite a hassle, buuuttttt what if I told you, you can do all that and still maintain that morning routine to preserve that healthy life-craving skin of yours. Now, some routines require to be adhered to twice daily, others once and so I will highly recommend you chose a routine that won’t drain much of your time. Make a routine you can keep at twilight and actually take very seriously.

2. TOO MANY PRODUCTS USED?

I really think this could be the major problem. Now some of us really aren’t satisfied with just one YouTube skincare tutorial, instead we watch three or four more and try blending products used in all three together. I can’t be cuddling in bed and imagine myself get up to spend twenty minutes or more on twelve different products. That’s insane. Just choose products that are suitable for your skintype and would appropriately fit your time schedule for the evening or morning.

3. NOT SEEING RESULTS YET?

Thisss! This is also key in the problems. You can’t use a product two days and expect to see results. It’s not that deep and not as easy. It requires consistency and habit. And please, I really do not recommend YouTube videos with titles like Get a glowing skin in two days or Brighter skin in one week. It just could’ve worked for them due to external factors like weather and conditions of habitat orrr, type of skin and here you are killing yourself for a better skin in two days. Hunny, your consistency will eventually pay off so stay focused and use the right products.

4. DISCOURAGED BY ACNE?

Now this is a very understandable reason. Acne could be due to periods, or breakouts from stress and that’s okay. You just need better sleep and eventually, they’ll fade off like they were never even there. You should keep going on with the skin routine because at the end of the day, you’ll look better than those without a routine. Trust me.

HOW CAN THIS BE FIXED?

I think the solutions to these problems are pretty simple and are clearly listed above. You can’t get your dream skin in one day and like I said, it requires constant attention and habit. As it is a necessity taking a shower everyday, it should also be a necessity, taking care of our skin daily and don’t forget that makeup will always look better on a healthy skin. LET’S TALK COLOURS!

Ever thought about what colour would fit a perfect outfit or what makeup colour theme would fit a perfect dress? Well, this is what this blog would be about for today.

Colour rioting isn’t very difficult to achieve especially if you’re a person that loves exploring multiple things, different colours and ending up with an exploding rainbow on the face. It would interest you to know that colours or themes of make up is also widely affected by the occasion you desire to attend. Everyone knows a date requires smooth solemn colours like brown or nude and a party could go all wild n’ out. I’ll be giving a few but very useful tips to guide your colour verdicts on make up artistry.

WHAT IS THE OCCASION?

Sometimes I hear a couple of people say stuff like “It doesn’t really matter” and “Who’s looking at my face?” I mean, we aren’t sure who exactly is looking but definitely, they are watching. Having the expertise thought about colours in makeup is the key and one of the steps in having your makeup turn out just as you had imagined. So,what exactly is the occasion?

~DINNER

If you have a dinner to attend, say you’re meeting up with friends just to catch up or, you’re, meeting his family for the first time, or you just want a Friday getaway with a few friends, then I’ll definitely recommend a light and natural makeup look. Why is this so? For his family, it’s sure as hell a good first impression, and with friends, you don’t have to overdo it anyways. A nude or brown lipstick would fit in real great for all skin types and your eyeshadow shouldn’t be an inspiration for the colours of the rainbow. A little glittering gold, light brown or if possible, leave the eyeshadow out. Trust me,the more natural your makeup looks, the better.

~DATE

One of the major problems most girls encounter in going for dates is having to pick out an outfit. You know that moment when you’re entire closet looks like absolute rubbish. After the outfit, the makeup should not be a problem because it will have to match. Just like dinner, makeup needs a light touch and really not too dramatic. You really do not want to scare your date and you want to look as natural as possible. Wear makeup that enhances your beauty in such a way no one knows you have makeup on. I’ve seen videos like that on YouTube and it’s not called deceiving it’s just knowing your cards and playing them well.

~PARTY

Now for the party make-up, you can go all out because why not? It can have even neon colours, highlighters, screaming colours and whatnot. This is your time to showcase your artistic ability in colour mixture and you can adopt even more crazy beautiful ideas like an orange brow or a blue one or even an E-girl make-up with beautiful flushed cheeks. Deep eyeliners, bronzer filled cheeks, it’s all yours to look. Afterall, you’d be blending in with faces looking like yours.

And if you’re having a casual outing, then you can go for a casual look, or even go a bit further, if you’re going on an outing with friends. It really depends on who you’re meeting and how comfortable you are going to be with those colours on your face. MAKEUP PRODUCTS

This is a key topic in makeup as it affects your entire make up look. Some products make your face look like a doze of several complications. That one look when your eye shadow is messed up, the eyeliner just isn’t coorperating, the contour is too light, the shadows are invisible, the bronzer is just everywhere and your foundation just tops the failure off. Now that’s something a little more than a natural disaster, if you ask me.

Most people think the most expensive products are the best but that’s not really true if you ask me. You’ve just got to find what products your face can work with and which ones it’s gonna cause a riot with. Obviously I haven’t purchased every single foundation that worth more than $20 but I can tell you a few tips which will be helpful.

TIP #1: MAKE A BUDGET

I feel this is the most important tip because you don’t want to spend a hundred percent of your income on make up products. You want to look good, but also think smart while at it. I spend on makeup whenever I think I have money to spare, and not when I have other responsibilities to take care off. Make a budget that’s gonna get you good products and don’t fix your mind on the most expensive ones. I’ll give a scenario. Let’s say you have a budget of $30. X foundation costs $20, Y eyliner costs $10. You’ve spent on products that cannot complete even a simple make up look. This is possible only in a case where you’re just piling up the products till they’re finally complete before you use.

TIP #2: CHECK THE BEST REVIEWS.

I would recommend not walking into a drugstore or a make up store and just picking any random brand. Make your research and find out the authenticity and verismo of each brand you wish to purchase from. This is very effective, trust me, because you shouldn’t be working with products you aren’t sure of. Check reviews on the comment sections on Instagram, check YouTube bloggers on make up products as well as any social media that provides authentic information.

TIP #3: CHECK THE PRODUCT PERFECT FOR YOUR SKIN.

It’s quite evident there’s different kinds of skin types. Oily skin, dry skin, and those that are just in between. As well as mascaras that make you tear up, contacts that could give your eye several complications and whatnot. Carefully pick out products suitable for your skin and stick to them, just to prevent pores, breakouts, reactions and every glitch in the caliber.

TIP #4: MAKE SURE IT’S NOT A FAKE PRODUCT.

You went through all that stress for fake? Really? Trust me, this is an expression you do not wish to be addressed to you. Fake products are everywhere because, why not? People make sham duplicates of reputable brands and not only is this hurting the brand name, you are also losing value of your hard-earned money. Verify your brand outlet and make sure it’s credible enough to actually spend your money on. Also remember that these fake products may be harmful to your skin.

TIP #5: BUY ONLY NECESSARY PRODUCTS.

But Pauly, this one looks g- shhh! Only necessary products. I really wish somebody told me this earlier, perhaps I wouldn’t have countless eyeshadow palettes in my closet. Spend wisely and please do not but an entire palette just because of one shade of brown you seemingly can’t get over. But that’s all up to you, but I really wouldn’t recommend. You can diversify your interests as time goes by but it’s better to stick to adequate.

Those are my five tips and I hope you enjoyed this blog. Follow on Instagram @prettyfacecreation_ and see you!

LOVE YOUR SKIN!

Hello there and welcome!

I get this question a lot of times and most often than not, it sounds rather insulting than complimentary. The question is, “Is that actually your skin?” In my head, I’m like Nah it’s camouflage and I’m some kind of chameleon. But really, I am aware of the reason behind the question. I’m not blowing trumpets here but it’s simply the flawless skin.

What is a flawless skin?

A flawless skin is one without imperfections, blemishes or flaws. In my own words, stunningly attractive, smooth, a perfect texture and that gorgeous glowy look even without serum. But let’s get this straight, a flawless skin is just a myth. Your skin cannot be a hundred percent free from blemishes, acne, reactions. There’s always gonna be that patch carrying the memory of where your skin has been and that’s why it’s called natural.

Notwithstanding, it isn’t impossible to achieve a radiating skin. It takes maintenance, habit, and patience. You don’t need to turn a millionaire to purchase the best products for your skin. In real facts, natural products are the best and we’re gonna talk about them in this blog.

How can I go about a flawless skin?

It’s pretty easy if you ask me. Honey is number one. I totally recommend. Others like aloe vera, banana peels… Yes! Banana peels. According to Healthline, banana peel, rich in antioxidants, fibre and essential nutrients, helps brighten the skin and reduce wrinkles. It even acts as a moisturiser and helps in hydrating the skin. Several studies have found banana peel to have anti-inflammatory properties, too.

Banana peels have high levels of antioxidants and potassium which can help heal the scars. They also help in lightening the skin tone and can be used to get rid of dark circles as well.

The shea butter is also very vital for your face. Shea butter is mostly common with Africans and it has soothing and anti-aging properties that may make skin appear smoother and reduce aging. I highly recommend.

Next on this list would be the avocado. For smooth and supple skin: Including avocado in your diet or applying it topically on to your skin as part of a face mask, will help your skin procure some essential fatty acids, which helps keep your skin supple and soft.

I always finish it off with coconut oil and I make sure I keep the routine daily. Morning and evening, and another tip is eating good food. Your body is the evidence of what has gone through your mouth, and so is your face. I recommend a lot of fruits, and having a balanced diet. It isn’t healthy loading your stomach with oily foods or dozens of buckets of spicy chicken wings. Another tip is having enough rest. Sleep at the appropriate time as this would not only prevent eye bags, but also make your day a lot more productive.

I really hope you enjoyed this blog and learnt a thing or two. Don’t forget to visit this page daily for more skin updates and follow us on Instagram @prettyfacecreation_ and Tumblr @prettyfacecreation See You!

MAKEUP IS ART

THE DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT TO PAINT YOUR FACE.

A lot of girls out there give the reason for refusing to wear makeup as “It’s cakey and unnatural”. While this may actually be true for some, it could be false for others. I mean, having no idea how a mascara works would be a good reason to criticise the next Winnie Harlow for being so perfect at it.

The concept of makeup as an art is meant to enhance your true naturally God installed, perfection inspired beauty. Well, apart from, makeup on sets for dramatic roles. I really cannot change your perspective about make-up but I can give you a few tips which might change the way you feel about it.

From the previous years, I’ve learnt a lot about what people think. Perhaps the makeup you’re putting on isn’t just for the right occasion. Imagine showing up for a date looking like Cruella, or arriving at school like Cardi. While these could be based solely on personal preferences, beauty still lies in the eyes of the beholder and except you’re making up just for yourself, you just might get a lot of looks and gossip from the people around you.

Also, your aim of putting make-up should be totally to enhance and not hideaway your beautiful features. With this in mind, you’ll want to look pretty with makeup, and not have a mini makeover plastic surgery on your face.

Another tip I would like to share is, do not wear makeup to impress other people. Yeah, looking good in a winged mascara might be a good way to get your crush’s attention but you might lose track and start over doing it which may not turn out as planned.

Furthermore, makeup is just creative art and your face is the perfect canvas. You’re the painter and whoever stares at your face is the audience. Put your touch and tastes to fit your own look. Not every YouTube tutorial could go well on you and not everyone looks good with a winged mascara.

Finally, I really hope you enjoyed this and learnt a thing or two. I really hope I was able to help and, keep tabs on the blog for more great content like this one. Check out the Instagram page @prettyfacecreations_ and follow. See you!
